Meet the team.
Our team are at the heart of what we do at Court Farm Lakes, so here's who's who: the people at the counter, on the bank and in the sauna.
The team
Jo and Nix started it in 2023. Everyone else you'll meet at the counter, on the bank or in the sauna.
Jo York
Co-founder
One of our co-founders. Jo manages the day-to-day of the business, and is frequently found training for her next triathlon in the lake.
Nix Barnaville
Co-founder
One of our co-founders. Nix leads our yoga and wellbeing offerings, and is a qualified sauna guide.
Nic Carter
Café manager
Nic manages the café, and is just as comfortable wielding a coffee machine, a label-maker or power tools.
Shyen
Sauna & sound
Shyen manages the sauna and is a sound healer. Book a swim or sauna on a Sunday morning and you can enjoy his voice across the water.
Paula Lewis
Café & events
Paula works in the café and takes care of the catering for most of our events. She also leads the Court Farm Crafters group.
Caroline Rickards
Fitness & café
Caroline runs our fitness classes and works in the café. Always has a smile, even when working out in the rain.
Siân Jones
Café & Queer Waters
Siân works in the café, and leads our weekly Queer Waters group and the bi-monthly Koselig Cabaret.
Rek Barnaville
Café
Rek is Nix's son and works in the café, especially during breaks from art college.
Hannah York
Café
Hannah is Jo's daughter and works in the café: an absolute lifesaver, busting through the dirty dishes when it's busy.

Builder & carpenter
Our dedicated builder, carpenter and handyman. He has built most of the structures you see on site, from the café to the jetty.

Barry leads our Chilly Bits and Talking Sh*t men's swimming group.

Make+Move
Lucy from Make+Move partners with Nix to deliver our wellbeing retreat days.

Paddleboarding Adventures
Our coach from Paddleboarding Adventures, and your contact for all things paddleboard.
Ray Farr
Swimmercise & synchro
Our swimmercise and synchro expert. She gives classes and performances through the summer.
Simon Brown
Sturdy, web developer
Simon is a web developer at Sturdy, the studio that built our booking platform and this website.
