Terms & conditions
The terms for memberships, passes, pay-as-you-go bookings and events at Court Farm Lakes.
Court Farm Lakes is run by Court Farm Lakes Ltd. These terms apply to memberships, passes, pay-as-you-go bookings and events, and to your use of the site.
Cancellations at a glance
Session cancellations 48 hours or more ahead return the session to your pass or allowance, or become account credit; later than that, nothing comes back. Events: two weeks or more ahead, a full refund; between two weeks and 48 hours, account credit to move to another event; inside 48 hours, nothing. Memberships are non-cancellable for their term. The full policies are below.
Conduct
We expect all guests to behave in a considerate manner and will not accept any inappropriate behaviour towards other members or our colleagues. We reserve the right to refuse admission for members behaving in such a manner.
Personal property, injury, illness and death
You should not exercise beyond your own ability. If you know or are concerned that you may have a medical condition which might interfere with exercising safely, consult a relevant medical professional and follow their advice. Subject to the final paragraph of this section, we will not be liable to you for any loss or damage you may suffer where the same is attributable to:
- your own fault;
- a third party unconnected with our provision of services under this agreement; or
- events which neither we nor our suppliers could have reasonably foreseen or forestalled after taking all reasonable measures.
Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit or exclude our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or any other liability which cannot be excluded by law.
Cancelling your membership
Cancellations are covered in the cancellation and refund policy below.
Bookable activities
Your membership entitles you to book activities subject to the terms and conditions associated with the activities. In order to make booking fair and sustainable for all our members we ask that all members are considerate of others and do not book an unreasonable number of sessions which may have an impact on other members’ ability to use their membership. Should members book multiple daily sessions we reserve the right to cancel any bookings we deem to be excessive, including any sessions that are sequential where it is clear that the customer could not undertake both at the same time.
If you are unable to attend bookings, you must cancel as soon as possible. Whilst most of our members, when unable to attend a booked activity, cancel in good time to allow others to book, others do not, which limits availability for everyone else. We reserve the right to impose penalties for repeat offenders.

Law and jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Disputes arising here shall be exclusively subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England, and your use of the site confirms your agreement to this jurisdiction. Any cause of action you may have with respect to your use of this site must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or cause of action arises. If any of these terms is determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable by reason of the law of any state or country in which these terms are intended to be effective, then to the extent to which that term or condition is illegal, invalid or unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from that clause and the remaining terms shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
Cancellations and refunds: annual memberships
Cancellation by Court Farm Lakes
Court Farm Lakes reserves the right to refuse, cancel or change any booking or event at any time prior to its commencement and to refuse admission to the event or centre, or to reject an application of membership and to withdraw membership. We can add to, change, withdraw or cancel facilities or activities from the centre without notice. This includes closing the centre or making changes to opening hours for safety reasons, maintenance, or special events. There is no entitlement to a refund where Court Farm Lakes is forced to cancel part or all of a membership due to reasons beyond our reasonable control. However, refunds may be given at Court Farm Lakes’ discretion.
Cancellation by you
Annual memberships paid in full or monthly are non-refundable in the event of cancellation by you. When paying monthly, the full 12 monthly payments are due and cannot be cancelled before the end of the 12-month period.
Refunds
No refund of membership fees will be made if a facility or an activity is withdrawn. Court Farm Lakes will not be liable for any other expenditure incurred or loss sustained arising from the cancellation.
Pay-as-you-go bookings
Pay-as-you-go customers may only enter the site after purchasing a lake access pass or a 6-swim pass and following a successful online booking for their selected activity.
What you can book
Open water swimming, paddleboarding (SUP), clothing-optional sessions and sauna use.
Cancellations and refunds: pay-as-you-go
Cancellation by you
You must cancel your session a minimum of 48 hours in advance in order to qualify for the activity credit to be added to your account. Any requests for refunds or re-arrangements after the session start time will not be processed. Court Farm Lakes will not be liable for any other expenditure incurred or loss sustained arising from the cancellation.
Weather
If the weather becomes unsafe to swim (for example thunderstorms or lightning) we will ring the bell and all visitors exit the lake. Should any sessions be cancelled due to bad weather or unsafe conditions, no refunds will be given, as these are circumstances outside of our control.
Expected behaviour
- All visitors must report to a member of staff on arrival.
- Tow floats or life vests must be worn at all times when on, or near, the water.
- Respect staff and other lake users — this includes our social media groups.
